Pre-Demo Final | New threats
Hello again!
After a pretty long break caused mostly by unforeseen university events, finally I have returned with a pretty big update! I’ve been working hard on this and I believe these additions and changes are fun and most importantly very engaging to play with. I can’t wait for your opinions!
Changelog:
- Added two new bosses for the first stage:
- The first one uses their hypersonic darts to kill our lowly rogue Servant
- And the second one, which will use its keen eyesight to track its target and will strike when Servant is in the most vulnerable state!
- Added new item to buy in the shop! This one unlocks the first extra difficulty option in the game,
- Added new extra difficulty setting, extra game speed,
- Updated menu backgrounds,
- Added a ton of new options,
- Added pause button and progress slider. I believe this will addition is the most important,
- Updated Servant Line logic and colours,
- Implemented new shaders instead to optimise some operations and make it look better at the same time,
- Updated tutorial stage,
- Fixed multiple bugs and problems with new spawners. Now they are working just like they originally should,
- Fixed optimisation problems when changing difficulty stages,
- Changed how reset data button works. Now all the music options are not erased. My and my friends’ ears are thankful for that,
- Fixed small bugs and added more options for extra logic further on.
Plans:
My god this took a long while! During this whole process a lot of new projects started on my uni, a lot of random problems began to show and my mental state got a little rough. Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious, I’m just exhausted among other things. But let’s end this with that. I believe our little servant is close to be in an acceptable state to be published on the major mobile app site, Google Play but before that I still need more time to set up everything and learn how everything there works. And I also believe some extra sprite reworks and game tweakings are necessary but that’s completely normal. I also plan to start some freelancing jobs with game and software development, to gain more experience and earn something extra but my love and passion for this project won’t stop. I want to start new projects, participate in new game jams, work on my past projects and finally start redesigning Pro Bono, my old game for which I spent countless hours designing and thinking but sadly I had to scrap it before anything serious could happen. Thanks Unity. But these are my plans for the near and far future. I hope you will come and check out my projects in the future and once again, thanks for playing and reading all this!
